Through this like-mindedness, friendships and trust grow, providing a safe space to deal with emotions. In addition, the interaction empowers participants by encouraging them to offer assistance, provide feedback, or challenge other group members in a loving yet accountable environment.

The Relapse Prevention group is can be attended via zoom or in person. The group is a reformulated cognitive-behavioral model of relapse and helps the development of mindfulness-based relapse prevention strategies. Rather than being viewed as a state or ending point of failure, relapse is considered a process that begins prior to and extends beyond the return to the target behavior. We explore 3 areas: reducing relapse and its severity; enhancing the durability of treatment gains; and matching prevention strategies to each client’s characteristics and lifestyles.
