Levels of Mental Health Rehab in Denver
Continuum Recovery Center offers a complete continuum of outpatient mental health rehabilitation in Denver. Your starting level is determined through a comprehensive clinical assessment at intake and is adjusted as you progress through treatment.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) — Most Intensive Mental Health Rehab
PHP is our highest level of outpatient mental health rehabilitation in Denver — providing intensive daily care several hours per day, multiple days per week. PHP is appropriate for individuals stepping down from inpatient psychiatric care, those whose mental health symptoms require intensive daily clinical attention, or anyone who needs more structure than IOP can provide while still returning home each evening.
PHP mental health rehab at Continuum includes individual psychotherapy, group therapy, evidence-based behavioral therapies (CBT, DBT), psychiatric evaluation and monitoring, dual diagnosis treatment where applicable, family programming, and holistic wellness practices. The goal of PHP is stabilization and the development of coping skills strong enough to sustain recovery at a lower level of care.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) — Flexible Mental Health Rehabilitation
IOP at Continuum Recovery provides structured mental health rehabilitation in Denver with flexibility built in for working professionals and individuals with family commitments. Our IOP provides a minimum of 9 hours of structured clinical programming per week across three sessions, with options for expanded frequency and both daytime and evening scheduling available. Virtual IOP via Zoom is available for Denver metro and Colorado residents who need telehealth access.
Mental health IOP at Continuum incorporates individual therapy, clinician-led group therapy, skills training in CBT and DBT, EMDR for trauma, family involvement, and holistic wellness modalities. IOP provides the depth and frequency of contact that builds real-world mental health skills — not just insight, but practical tools for managing anxiety, depression, and the daily situations that challenge recovery.

Outpatient Program (OP) — Ongoing Mental Health Support
Standard Outpatient (OP) provides consistent, lower-intensity mental health support for individuals who have progressed through more intensive rehab levels or who present with milder symptom severity and stable functioning. OP typically involves weekly individual therapy and group sessions focused on maintaining mental health gains, continuing skill development, and preventing relapse into previous symptom patterns.
